2 LGUS IN SAN MIGUEL, BULACAN BENEFIT FROM PCSO’S CSR EFFORTS

Two barangays in the Municipality of San Miguel, Bulacan received rescue equipment, mobility aids, and medical devices through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) during a turnover ceremony held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong.

On behalf of PCSO, Atty. Maria Katrina Nicole C. Contacto-Ventanilla led the turnover of the donated items to Barangay Captain of Bantog, Albert Silva and Barangay San Vicente Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairman John Raynald Relano.

Barangay Bantog received four units each of essential rescue equipment, including trauma bags, oxygen tanks, handheld radios, search lights, rescue helmets, rescue ropes, stretchers, and life jackets. The barangay also obtained 10 units each of mobility aids such as walkers, wheelchairs, and crutches. In addition, five units each of medical devices, including nebulizers, thermal scanners, pulse oximeters, glucometers, and 4 units of weighing scales, were provided to support community health services.

Barangay San Vicente, meanwhile, received the same set of rescue devices and medical equipment, along with walkers as mobility support.

Local officials expressed gratitude to PCSO, noting that the equipment will significantly strengthen their disaster response capability and enhance delivery of basic health services at the community level. The items are set to be distributed to residents as part of ongoing health, safety, and welfare programs in their respective barangays.

PCSO continues to implement its CSR-focused programs nationwide, extending assistance to local government units and communities in need, particularly in areas requiring improved emergency preparedness and medical support.
