Nakuhanan ng isang concerned citizen ang mahimbing na pagtulog ng dalawang pulis sa loob ng patrol car habang naka-duty kahapon ng madaling araw, Abril 13.
Agad sinibak sa pwesto ang ang dalawang pulis na may ranggong staff sergeant at corporal na naka-assign sa Mobile Patrol Unit ng Abellana Police Station. Nakumpirma na natutulog ang dalawa sa naka-park na patrol car sa gilid ng kalye.
Ayon kay Col. Ireneo Dalogdog, hepe ng City Investigation and Detective Management Unit (CIDMU) ng Cebu City Police Office, pansamantalang ililipat sa Cebu City Holding Unit ang dalawa para magbigay-daan sa administrative case na isasampa laban sa kanila.
“As of now the investigation is ongoing, so ang atong CIDMU nag ready na sa appropriate administrative case to be filed against the two personnel. We will not tolerate this kind of behavior,” paliwanag ni Dalogdog.
Nagbabala naman si Dalogdog sa mga station commander na i-monitor ang kanilang mga police personnel dahil malalagay sila sa alanganin kapag nangyari pa ang insidente.
“Nag-isyu na ako ng memorandum directing all station commanders and other chief special units to strictly supervise their personnel under their respective jurisdiction. Pag may mahuli tayo uli na ganitong insidente we will include the chief supervisor and the immediate superior officer to be held responsible for failure to supervise and monitor their personnel,” ayon kay Dalogdog.
