“You can run but you cannot hide.’’
This was the message made by Ben Tulfo, host of #IpaBITAG Mo, to a member of the Philippine National Police (PNP) whose video went viral after a netizen posted the incident in the social media.
In the video, the cop was shown intimidating and harassing a civilian with his hands on his service firearm.
Because of limited information about the identity of the cop #IpaBITAG Mo offered a cash reward to anyone who can provide tips about the abusive policeman.
#IpaBITAG Mo was flooded by tips and information, some seemed to be useful but some were providing false information.
From P25,000 the cash reward is now P35,000.
After careful and diligent evaluation on all tips and information, some were prank calls, #IpaBITAG Mo finally got the tip that finally lead to the elusive cop.
A fellow officer did him in.
According to alias ‘Sarge’ it’s not for the reward that he offered the information about the ‘cop’s identity.’
It’s for the PNP organization and the thousand members of the police organization who are good and true to their sworn duty “to protect and to serve the citizenry.”
According #IpaBITAG Mo, for security and privacy purposes, BITAG will not reveal his true identity, but at least the “Tiger and the elusive cat had a close encounter.”
