No, BITAG never forgets.
Before the controversial issue of the security guard who got mauled by the son of Negros Oriental congressman Arnolfo Teves, Jr., BITAG has been quietly and patiently working on another story.
Netizens and followers of BITAG have been rampantly asking for a follow-up or an update on the recent viral video that involves a uniformed police officer who appeared to be intimidating and threatening a motorist along the streets of Makati.
Last March 5, in an exclusive interview with the victim himself, BITAG presented the story on its public service program, #ipaBITAGmo.
Watch: Part 1
While the video itself is material evidence that can be used to identify the police officer, at that time, only limited information was available on the identity of the police officer hence BITAG through its public service program created a special team to gather more information and hunt the said police officer.
To speed up the process, Ben Tulfo himself announced that he will offer a cash incentive to whoever can provide useful and valid information that can lead to the real identity of the police officer.
BITAG was flooded by tips and information, some seemed to be useful but some were providing false information.
Originally the cash award was P25, 000 but days after Ben Tulfo added another P10,000 to the reward.
Watch: Part 2
After carefully filtering all tips and information, canceling and disregarding some prank or useless information, BITAG received one important tip.
This tip came from a fellow police officer who claims that he perfectly knows the real identity of the police officer in the viral video.
For security and privacy purposes, BITAG will not reveal his true identity. All information and tip will be revealed and announced on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 during the public service program, #ipaBITAGmo.
