Let me ask my colleague in the media unfiltered, why are you having a hard time addressing Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr., despite the kilometric lead over his rival VP Leni Robredo as President-elect?
Are you guys entertaining, that some ‘unforeseen event’ may happen that’s why you are using the term Presumptive President, instead of President-elect or incoming-president?
Okay, for the sake of argument, this is what my naughty mind is thinking.
You guys, my esteemed colleague, working in an oligarch media – pardon for the vulgarity – are having thought that an ominous circumstances may happen to BBM – God forbid.
That’s why you are sticking with the word presumptive.
But, the reality is, the votes has been counted, though partial and unofficial, the 31 million votes (BBM) over 14 million (VP Leni) is an overwhelming majority recognized by world leaders.
The international community recognized BBM as president-elect, not presumptive.
The ‘what if’ mentality of the people or group that cannot accept defeat are ‘pushing to death’ the word ‘presumptive president ‘ thinking that before the proclamation day up to the oath taking ceremony, something ominous will happen.
What are these circumstances? Death and incapacity.
Death can be natural, accidental and intentional.
Incapacity, due to accident.
Don’t get me wrong. Don’t get mad at me. I’m just speaking out my mind.
You can criticize me in high heavens, but could these circumstances be the reason why you guys in the ‘oligarch media’ are stick it out with the word presumptive?
