‘To respond, to alarm and react in a timely manner”
A 24-year-old security guard, Jocel Pacana, lived this word before he was shot dead by a Chinese national.
Pacana was responding with his buddies after receiving a report about an altercation in a condominium unit in Taguig City last March 12, 2022.
Six months after the shooting incident, JUSTICE is still elusive for Pacana.
The suspect, identified as Tan Xing, AKA Tan Zhennan, 22-year-old, remains free and hiding, probably roaming around and whereabout unknown to the authorities.
BITAG got a CCTV footage that shows the horrifying moment when the victim was shot at close range by the Chinese national.
While Pacana with two other security guards, Noriel Pojas and Hermoso Cordero were escorting Xing out of the condominium, the suspect pulled out an unknown handgun, shoot Pacana, killing the victim on the spot.
Cordero and Pojas survived the attack and were treated for gunshot wounds at the nearest hospital.
In his Pambansang Sumbungan, #IPABITAG Mo, Ben Tulfo, a veteran journalist, appealed to the authorities and the public for help in finding and flushing out the Chinese national initially identified as Tan Xing.
“Gagawa po tayo ng sinasabi nating All Points Bulletin . Nananawagan na po kami sa inyo, ‘Man Hunt!” Umpisahan na ho natin, umpisahan na ho natin ang pagtugis sa ginawa ng kriminal,” Ben Tulfo said.
BITAG offered a P25,000 reward for any information on the whereabouts of Tan Xing, AKA Tan Zhennan, primary suspect in the killing of Pacana and shooting of two other security guards.
Contacted for possible immigration records of the suspect, the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID) thru is spokesperson Dana Sandoval, said that the BID has no report or any information on a departure for Tan Xing and still inside the country.
Sandoval said a formal complaint or case should be filed immediately against the suspect, TAN XING. Also, the family of the victim can request to the Court for a HOLD DEPARTURE ORDER (HDO) to prevent TAN XING from leaving the country.
Sandoval said, TAN XING is now considered a ‘flight risk.’
Meanwhile, the victim’s mother, Gina Pacana, is still grieving and devastated for her son’s sudden death.
Mrs. Pacana, thru #IPABITAG Mo Pamabansang Sumbungan cried for justice and sought the immediate prosecution for her son’s killer.
