Another beauty queen bravely appeared on Tuesday, Oct. 25, in #ipaBITAGmo public service segment to affirm the complaint of two contestants who first uncovered the irregularity and money-making scheme of the Mrs. Philippines Universe pageant.

Complainant Michelle Lucas, 34, entrepreneur, and a resident of Angono Rizal, has a common sentiment against the Mrs. Philippines Universe Foundation (MPUF).

Lucas affirmed the revelations of beauty queens Mrs. Jessa Macaraig and Mrs. Ruth Adefuin, both contenders for the 2022 MPUF pageant.

Lucas said she also paid a P50,000 registration fee and was charged for various collections, aside from franchising an expensive networking investment worth P249,000.

Lucas told the BITAG Multimedia Network (BMN) that she spent a total of P2.2 million on the pageant.

This includes the P1.5 million sponsorship package and P700,000 that she spent on registration fees, hotel accommodations, food expenses, and ticket sales.

Lucas has crowned the Pacific Continental in 2021 and bagged the Mrs. Enagic award for investing P249,000 in a business franchise partnered with MUPF.

Lucas asked for the help of #ipaBITAGmo to recover what she spent from Mrs. Charo Calalo-Uy, the president and organizer of Mrs. Universe Philippines Foundation.

Calalo-Uy, however, denied the accusations and challenged the complainants instead to bring the case to court.

Meanwhile, Ben Tulfo, host of #ipaBITAGmo lectured Calalo-Uy and cautioned her not to meddle in the operations of the BMN investigative reportage.

Tulfo fires back on the statement by Calalo-Uy that #ipaBITAGmo should not intervene in the complaints of the beauty queens and bring the case instead to the proper forum.

“Let me clear this. Bitag Multimedia Network is not a news media. We are investigative media. Our job is to investigate,” said Tulfo addressing Calalo-Uy.

Tulfo vowed not to let go of the case until justice prevailed for the victims.
