Eligible members of the Social Security Systems (SSS) affected by Severe Tropical Storm Paeng that ravaged the country last week can avail of the Calamity Loan Assistance Program (CLAP), equivalent to one-month salary credit.
According to Fernan Nicolas, SSS vice president for National Capital Region North Division and concurrent acting head of the Public Affairs and Special Events Division, ‘ang Calamity Loan Assistance Program po na ilulunsad ng SSS ay up to one month salary credit o iyon pong tinatawag nating up to PHP20,000. So, kung ang isang miyembro ay nakapaghulog ng nasa maximum monthly salary credit na PHP20,000, maaari po siyang maka-avail ng PHP20,000 calamity loan.”
Nicolas said in the Laging Handa public briefing on Friday, that the will be payable in 24 months and may be availed of online.
The package are intended for the victims of severe tropical storm “Paeng” for SSS members residing in areas that were declared under “State of Calamity” by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) or by the Sangguniang Bayan/Panlunsod/Panlalawigan.
Meanwhile, SSS called on members not to pose on social media their membership information if they have questions or issues related to their contributions and claims.
