Dahil sa aksidente, nagkaroon ng mainit na pagtatalo ang dalawa.
Ilang sandali, bumunot umano ng baril ang siklista at binaril ng malapitan si Cruz na tumama sa kanyang kaliwang pisngi.
Sa isinagawang follow-up operation ng Norzagaray Police, lumutang ang isang saksi at kinilala ang suspek na si alyas Michael Torrazo, nasa hustong gulang, at namamasukan bilang house boy.
Dead-on-the-spot ang biktima, habang pinaghahanap pa ang suspek.
