Isang malagim na balita ang bumalot sa Davao del Sur noong Biyernes ng umaga, Nob. 11, matapos madiskubre ang dalawang bangkay ng dalagita na hinihinalang hinalay pa ng kanilang stepfather.
Sa ulat ng Philippine News Agency (PNA), ang mga biktima ay edad 11 at 15, kapwa wala nang buhay nang matagpuan sa kanilang bahay sa Purok Mangga, Landing, Sta Cruz, Davao del Sur.
Nahaharap sa kasong kriminal ang suspect na si Jessie Bon Palomo na nasakote sa manhunt operation sa Banisilan, Cotabato habang papatakas patungong Cotabato City.
Nadakip si Palomo na amain ng mga biktima, ng pinagsanib na operatiba ng Sta Cruz, Municipal Police Station-Police Regional Office (PRO) 11 at Police Regional Office–SOCCSKSARGEN.
Nakumpiska sa suspect ang isang 12 gauge shotgun at ilang sachet ng hinihinalang ‘shabu’.
Ayon kay P/Col. Kristopher Sabsal, acting chief ng Sta Cruz Municipal Police Station (MPS), posibleng ginahasa ang mga biktima dahil ang isa rito ay walang saplot nang abutan ng mga rumespondeng otoridad.
Sa ulat ng PNA Digos City, ang dalawang bata ay ipinagkatiwala sa kanilang amahin dahil ang kanilang ina ay namamasukan bilang overseas Filipino worker (OFW) sa Saudi.
