Nabitag ng Philippine National Police (PNP) Anti-Narcotics Unit ng Cavite ang dalawang suspek sa isinagawang buy-bust operation noong Sabado ng gabi sa Imus, Cavite. Kinilala ang mga nahuling suspek na sina Datu Ali Sampulna y Dayo, 38 years old, at kasapakat na online seller na si Almira Sampulna y Karao, 30 years old, parehong residente ng Poblacion 7, Cotabato City.
Nasamsam sa buy-bust operation ang humigit-kumulang 37 kilos ng pinaghihinalaang shabu na tinatayang nagkakahalaga P252 milyon. Nakumpiska din sa mga suspek ang ilang drug paraphernalia, dalawang cellphone, iba’t ibang identification card at mga remittance receipts.
Kinasuhan ang dalawa ng paglabag sa Republic Act 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022.
