Kinilala ang naaresto na si Delfin Pascua, 74, isang AWOL na sundalo at residente ng nasabing barangay.
Ayon sa report ng Echague Police Station, narinig ng isang saksi ang iyak ng 14-anyos na dalagita sa ilalim ng puno ng mangga, at dito nakita ang pangmomolestya ng suspek.
Agad na isinagawa ang citizen arrest at na-turn over sa barangay bago damputin ng mga awtoridad.
Kasalukuyang sumasailalim na ang suspek sa inquest proceeding at inihahanda ang kasong Rape by Sexual Assault in Relation to RA 11648, habang ang biktima ay ipinasa na sa pangangalaga ng Municipal Social Welfare Development Office (MSWDO) para sa counselling.
