Sa inilabas na pahayag ng JRU kahapon, nagdesisyon ang unibersidad na iangat ang parusa laban kay Amores mula sa indefinite suspension na unang ipinataw sa kanya.
“After a thorough evaluation, the board is convinced that additional sanctions should be imposed against him as part of the internal processes on discipline observed by the school, ” ayon sa pahayag.“Further to our initial statement released on November 9, 2022, Mr. Amores’ indefinite suspension has been upgraded to his removal from the team.”
Dagdag pa rito, suspendido rin si Amores sa kanyang klase sa unibersidad kung saan kanselado rin ang kanyang mga natatanggap na mga pribilehiyo bilang atleta. Bukod dito, sasailalim din si Amores sa isang community service program bilang parte ng kanyang kaparusahan.
