Patay ang isang sundalo matapos madamay sa gulo sa isang restobar sa Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City, Miyerkules ng madaling araw. Nakilala ang nasawi na si Private First Class (PFC) Edmark Iwayan, 26, ng 94th Infantry Battalion (IB) at residente ng Escalante City, Negros Occidental. Habang sugatan naman ang kasama ng biktima na si PFC Joebert Villagracia, 29, ng Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental; may-ari ng restobar at dati din sundalo na si Joebert Visem, 25, ng Sipalay City.
Sugatan din ang mga suspek na sina Ulysis Carampatana, 41-anyos, bank accountant at kasama nito na si Joseph John Magahum, 45, ng Barangay Taculing.
Ayon sa ulat ng pulisya, isasara na sana si Visem ang kanyang restobar ng dumating ang grupo ni Carampatana at (9) siyam pang kasama nito na pawang nakainom sakay ng kotse, motorsiklo at tricycle.
Pinagbigyan ito ni Visem at binigyan ng isang round ng inumin. Pero nang muling umorder ng pangalawang round, hindi na umano niya ito pinagbigyan. Dito na umano nagalit si Carampatana at bumunot ng baril. Tinangka pa umano pakalmahin subalit umabot ito sa agawan ng baril saka nagpaputok.
Nagtamo ng walong tama ng bala si Iwayan na naging sanhi ng kanyang kamatayan, tinamaan din ng bala si Visem at si Villagracia tinamaan sa ulo matapos paluin ng bote ng isa sa mga suspek.
Narekober sa crime scene ang labing isang fired cartridges ng .9mm, 5 fired cartridges of .45 caliber, 5 deformed slugs at .45 caliber pistol ni Iwayan. Sinampahan na ng kasong homicide at frustrated homicide sa City Prosecutor’s Office si Carampatana at Magahum na parehong nasa ospital matapos tamaan ng bala. Samantalang pinaghahanap pa din ng mga awtoridad ang walong kasama nitong tumakas.
