Nasukol ng operatiba ng Philippine Army (PA) 8th Infantry Battalion ang mga rebelde na kinilalang sina Roel Saavedra, 26; Raul Litionia, 23; at Irine Almahan Haguilay, 21.
Sumuko ang mga rebelde sa gitna ng intensibong opensiba ng tropa ng pamahalaan sa Bukidnon noong Nob. 17, araw ng Huwebes.
Ayon sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), kasapi ng Regional Sentro De Grabidad Compaq, North Central Mindanao Regional Command ang mga sumukong rebelde.
Inamin ng tatlong NPA na hindi na sila nakatanggap ng tulong mula sa kanilang hukbo kaya sumuko na lamang sila sa pamahalaan.
Sa kanyang statement, nagpapasalamat si Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Bacus, Commanding Officer ng 8IB sa mapayapang operasyon ng militar sa Bukidnon.
“We are thankful for their firm decision in going back to the government to choose peace. We are glad knowing that we have saved another brother and sister suffering from the armed struggle,” wika ni Bacus.
Kasalukuyang nasa kustodiya ng 8th Infantry Battalion ang tatlong rebelde habang pinoproseso ang mga benepisyong matatanggap nila mula sa Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program.
