Patay ang isang pulis matapos makipagbarilan sa grupo ng mga holdaper sa M’lang, Cotabato Province nitong Miyerkules, Nob. 23.
Ayon sa ulat ng Police Regional Office 12, labindalawang armadong grupo ang nagdeklara ng holdap sa isang bakery sa nasabing lugar.
Binaril ng mga suspek ang dalawang kostumer at tinangay ang humigit kumulang na P17,000 mula sa kaha ng bakery.
Patay ang isa sa mga kostumer na nakilalang si Jack Gumilao, samatalang sugatan ang isa pang biktima na si Jose Patlubay.
Agad nagsagawa ng hot pursuit operation ang M’lang Municipal Police Station at napatay nila ang apat sa mga suspek.
Ani PLtCol. Realan Mamon, Chief of Police ng M’lang MPS, dalawa sa kanyang mga pulis ang sugatan at isa ang napatay na kinilalang si PSSG. Rudy Amihan na tinamaan ng bala sa dibdib.
Nagsagawa pa ng follow-up operation ang PNP katuwang ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) para malipol ang mga tumakas na suspek.
