Huli sa magkakahiwalay na buy-bust operation sa Quezon City ang tatlong tulak ng iligal na droga, kasunod ng mas pinalakas na anti-drug campaign ng Quezon City Police District (QCPD).
Ayon kay QCPD Director, PBGEN Nicolas D Torre III, ang tatlong nasilo sa buy-bust ay kinabibilangan ng dalawang drug pusher at isang nasa No. 5 drug personality ng Philippine National Police (PNP).
Nasakote sa inilunsad na operasyon ng QCPD District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) ang suspek na si Edwin Escalante, 40, residente ng Brgy. 485, Zone 48, Sampaloc, Manila.
Nahuli si Escalante noong Nobyembre 26 sa Area 6, Basketball Court sa Brgy. Botocan, Quezon City.
Sa hiwalay na operasyon ng Eastwood Police Station (PS 12) noong Nob. 25, nalambat din sa buy-bust operation ang No. 5 drug personality target na si Mark Joseph Macatangay, a.k.a. Utak, 31, residente ng Brgy. Bagumbayan, Pasig City.
Laglag naman sa isinagawang operasyon ng Galas Police Station (PS 11) ang drug suspect na si Stephen Caballero, 31, residente ng Brgy. Tatalon, Quezon City.
Umabot sa kabuuang P125,120 ang halaga ng ‘shabu’ na nasamsam sa tatlong magkakahiwalay ng buy-bust operation ng QCPD.
Kakasuhan ang mga nahuling suspek ng paglabag sa R.A. 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
