Pinag-aaralan pa ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos Jr. ang listahan ng mga personalidad na kukumpleto sa kanyang gabinete sa susunod na taon.
Sa pagbisita ng Pangulo sa Quezon City ngayong araw, sinabi nito sa mga mamamahayag na ilan sa mga ikinukunsidera niyang maging gabinete ay ang mga natalong kandidato noong nakaraang halalan.
Dahil sa umiiral na one-year ban, marami pang posisyon sa pamahalaan ang nasa ‘status quo’ situation, habang ang ilan ay pinamumunuan ng mga acting officials.
Ilan sa mga bakanteng posisyon ang kalihim ng Department of Health (DOH), Department of Agriculture (DA), at Department of National Defense (DND).
“I don’t think that’s a secret to anyone. At the end of the first year, ‘yung ibang kandidato, will now join the mix of possible nominees. So let’s be patient,” giit ng Pangulo.
Pero giit ng Pangulo, kahit wala pang kalihim ang DOH, DND, at DA, kuntento umano siya sa trabaho ng mga opisyal tulad nina Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire ng DOH at Undersecretary Jose Faustino Jr. ng DND.
“Wala pa kaming DOH. Wala pa kaming nino-nominate. And Usec. Vergeire is doing a fine job. Let her do — kasi we are still not out of the pandemic, so we have to continue to be careful,” anang Pangulo.
“Sa DND naman, no, I think– I’m happy with the situation as it is now. We will see,” sagot ni Marcos nang tanungin ng media kung papalitan ba ang opisyal ng DND.
