The fast-growing marketing arm of BITAG Media Unlimited Inc. (BMUI), Divergent Concepts Marketing Inc. (DCMI), sought the help of Pambansang Sumbungan: #ipaBITAGmo to investigate the suspicious complaint of a purchaser claiming that she received a “fake” product from the company.
Ryan Kristopher David, the Sales and Marketing Director of DCMI, revealed that Charlene Cagomoc from Recto, Manila sent a demand letter on November 29 to refund her P1,100 in purchasing an 825mL Kings Premium food supplement.
David said the complaint stemmed from an alleged “forged item”.
He said the customer complained that she received a ‘sham’ item from Shopee on November 22, 2022.
The complainant claimed to have received a ‘big rock’ with sand and an ‘old-used sack’ inside of a package from DCMI instead of a bottled Kings Premium food supplement.
“Ang sabi niya sa complaint hindi raw Kings Premium yung laman ng package na ipinadala through Shopee Mall Online,” David stated.
“Ipinadala niya sa amin ‘yung picture na buhangin, bato at sako yung laman ng delivery from Shopee,” he added.
The store official started to suspect the veracity of the complaint as he discovered suspicions in the photos sent to them by the complainant.
David said the packaging is far from the actual setting of their discrete step-by-step quality control packaging based on their strict protocol.
“We have reviewed our CCTV from purchasing to waybills, going through quality control, up to the moment of packaging. We have our strict protocol for packing the items to make sure that our product is not tainted with any dents, damage, or even leaks on the bottle cap. Ganyan kami ka-metikoloso sa aming products,” David explained.
“And most, we have our standard protocol in packing our items before they’re cleared for dispatching or pickup. No one can mess with us. It’s all documented and supported by videos from step 1 up to the pickup site,” David furthered.
DCMI, the exclusive distributor of Kings Premium, is a sister company of BITAG Multimedia Network (BMN) under the BITAG Media Unlimited Inc. (BMUI) – owned by BMUI chief operating officer (CEO) Mr. Bienvenido “Ben” Tulfo.
Tulfo challenged the complainant to prove the veracity and the authenticity of her claim.
“We cannot tolerate these false and alarming claims. We challenge you, come to us, and prove your accusations. Let the investigation talk about the authenticity of your claim.”
“One thing we can assure you is we have all the physical evidence to prove that you are lying,” Mr. Tulfo addressed the complainant.
Tulfo also asked for the intervention of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to navigate the origin of the complaint. “The DTI and the National Bureau of Investigation are also welcome to investigate this. We cannot allow this kind of fraud to sabotage and taint the good reputation of our products and services. Someone should be held liable and accountable for this,” Tulfo urged.
