Kinumpirma ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) na inaayos na ang ipamimigay na tig-P500 na ayuda sa mga kwalipikadong benepisyaryo ng kagawaran sa ilalim ng programang Targeted Cash Transfer (TCT).
Sa isang radio interview, sinabi ni DSWD Undersecretary Edu Punay na nasa P5.2 bilyon ang pondong gagamitin dito ng DSWD para mabigyan lahat ang nasa 12.4 milyong Pinoy na nasa listahan ng “poorest of the poor”.
Ayon kay Punay, target ng kagawaran na maipamudmod ang tig-P500 na ayuda sa mga benepisyaryo bago sumapit ang Pasko.
“This December ipamimigay na ‘yung additional P5.2 billion na additional grant for the third tranche,” ani Punay.
Kabilang sa tatanggap ng P500 na cash aid ang apat na milyong nasa listahan ng 4Ps beneficiaries; 6 milyon na kabilang sa Unconditional Cash Transfer (UCT) beneficiaries kasama na rito ang mga indigent senior citizens; at ang nasa 2.4 milyong benepisyaryo na nasa listahan ng ‘poorest of the poor’ o mga pamilyang nasa pinakamahirap na sektor.
Nauna nang inilabas ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) ang pondo ng DSWD para sa ipamimigay na ayuda at iba pang uri ng programa ng kagawaran.
