Arestado ang isang dating mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter matapos itong mahulihan ng nasa humigit-kumulang P3.4 milyong halaga ng hinihinalang ‘shabu’ sa Cebu City.
Huli ang ex-MMA fighter na si Slotty Avila, 43, sa ikinasang operasyon ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) sa Sunset Drive, Barangay Lahug, bandang alas-5:00 ng umaga ngayong araw, Dec. 3.
Maliban sa kalahating kilong shabu, nakuha rin sa suspek ang tatlong digital weighing scales, tatlong empty tea bags, drug paraphernalia, at transaction slip ng mga suki nito ng shabu.
Sa ulat ni PDEA Cebu Director Levi Ortiz, responsable ang grupo ni Avila sa pagbebenta ng shabu sa pamamagitan ng mga online shopping at online couriers.
Ayon kay Ortiz, isasailalim pa nila sa chemical analysis ang mga nakumpiskang item sa suspek upang matukoy kung high grade shabu ang mga ito.
Kakasuhan ang dating MMA fighter ng paglabag sa Sections 11 at 12, Article II ng Republic Act (RA) 9165 o paglabag sa Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
