Walo ang kumpirmadong patay at 14 ang malubhang nasugatan sa banggaan ng dalawang truck sa CM Recto Highway sa Cagayan de Oro City kahapon ng madaling araw.
Sa isang press release, sinabi ni Col. Aaron Mandia, City Director ng Cagayan de Oro City Police Office na galing sa pakikipag-libing ang 20 magkakamag-anak na sakay ng Kia Bongo truck nang salpukin umano ang mga ito ng isang Fuso Tabular cargo truck na may dalang mga buhay na manok.
Nasa kustodiya na ng CDO Police Station ang driver ng Fuso truck na si Julito Telen, 43, residente ng Baloy Tablon, Cagayan de Oro City.
Sa inisyal na imbestigasyon, hindi umano kumagat ang preno ng sumalpok na truck hanggang sa inararo nito ang kasalubong na truck lulan ang mga biktima.
Dead-on-the-spot ang driver at apat na pasahero ng maliit na truck, habang ang tatlo ay binawian ng buhay sa ospital.
Sasampahan ang inarestong truck driver ng patong-patong na kaso.
