Humakot ng tatlong medalyang ginto ang Filipina weightlifter na si Hidilyn Diaz sa katatapos na 2022 IWF World Championships sa Bogota, Colombia ngayong Huwebes, Dec. 8.
Nakuha lahat ni Diaz ang tatlong gintong medalya sa women’s 55kg. category.
Impresibo ang ipinakitang lifting ability ng reigning Pinay Olympic champion kung saan klarong nabuhat ang 93kg. sa snatch round at 114 kg. sa clean and jerk para sa kabuuang 207 kg. lift.
Maagang naungusan ni Diaz ang pambato ng Colombia na si Rosalba Morales na umiskor lamang ng total lift na 199 kg. at sinundan ng atleta ng Mexico na si Ana Gabriela Lopez na bumuhat ng total score na 198 kg.
Si Diaz ang itinuturing na phenomenal ngayon sa women’s weightlifting matapos masungkit ang ginto sa Olympics, Asian Games, at Southeast Asian Games.
Ayon sa coaching staff ni Diaz, malaking morale boosting ang nasungkit na ginto ng Pinay weightlifter para sa paghandaan ang qualifying round ng 2024 Olympics kung saan didipensahan nito ang kanyang titulo para sa Summer Olympics na gaganapin sa Paris.
