Nagpahatid ng pagbati si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa mga mananampalatayang Katoliko sa pagdiriwang ng kapistahan ng “Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary” ngayong araw, Dec. 8.
Sa kanyang maikling mensahe, sinabi ng Punong Ehekutibo na mahalaga ang divine providence. Sa hirap man aniya o sa tugatog ng tagumpay, ang divine providence ay makakatulong upang mapaglabanan ang kahinaan at limitasyon sa buhay ng tao.
Dapat aniya na tularan si Mama Mary at pagsumikapang hindi mahulog sa pagkakanya-kanya o pagiging makasarili.
“Like Mary, may we also strive to resign from our individualistic tendencies and aspire to generously give ourselves without expecting anything in return,” paghimok ng Pangulo.
Sa paggunita aniya ng patron ni Mother Virgin Mary, dapat magsilbing paalala sa bawat isa na hanapin ang sarili at gampanan ang nararapat na adbokasiya sa buhay sa pamamagitan ng walang pag-iimbot at pagmamahal na walang inaasahang kapalit.
“In the end, what we can bring into our everlasting home are those we cherish deep in our hearts, not the possessions we can only hold in our hands,” wika ng Pangulo.
Dahil walang kasiguruhan sa buhay, sinabi pa ni Marcos na dapat unawain ang kagustuhan ng Panginoon at gawin ang mga nararapat na aral ng kabutihan at pagmamahal sa kapwa. “Together, let us gratefully anticipate the promises of a brighter and more comfortable future as we work hard and pray for the guidance so that we can march onwards the road of progress to ensure a better future for our families, neighbors, and all Filipinos.”
