Inatasan ni Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police General Rodolfo Azurin Jr. ang PNP-Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) na bantayan na rin ang iligal na bentahan ng paputok sa online market habang papalapit ang Kapaskuhan at Bagong Taon.
Ipinakita sa media ni Azurin ang iba’t ibang uri ng paputok na nakumpiska ng Criminal Investigation ang Detection Group (CIDG) at iba pang unit ng PNP sa kanilang intensibong paghuli sa mga iligal na paputok.
Pinangunahan din ng PNP chief ang pag-inspeksyon sa mga pagawaan ng paputok sa Bocaue, Bulacan kahapon, Dec. 8.
Binalaan ng PNP ang mga manufacturer ng paputok na ‘wag nang mangahas na gumawa ng mga ipinagbabawal na firecrackers dahil siguradong kukumpiskahin lang ito ng mga pulis.
Kabilang sa mga ipinagbabawal na paputok ang watusi, piccolo, five star, super lolo, pla-pla, bawang, goodbye Covid, Bin Laden, at iba pang malalakas na paputok.
Kasabay nito, pinahihigpitan ni Azurin sa PNP-ACG ang monitoring sa mga seller na ginagamit ang internet sa pagbebenta ng mga paputok.
Partikular na pina-babantayan ni Azurin ang mga imported na paputok na naglipana sa online market.
