Siyam katao ang patay sa mahigit dalawang oras na bakbakan ng tropa ng Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (CAFGU) at grupo ng lawless elements sa Brgy. Tapudoc, North Cotabato, kahapon, Dec. 9.
Ayon sa ulat ng Philippine News Agency, lima ang casualty sa tropa ng CAFGU at tatlo ang nasawi sa hanay ng mga armadong grupo.
Sa inisyal na ulat ni Major Jennefer Amotan, hepe ng Aleosan Police Station, nagsimula ang bakbakan ng dalawang grupo nang tambangan ng 50 armadong kalalakihan ang CAFGU na si Ramel Santillan, bandang alas-2:30 ng hapon.
Dahil malapit sa detachment ang ambush site, nirespondehan umano ito ng mga CAFGU at nakipagpalitan ng putok sa mga armadong grupo.
Tumagal ang crossfire ng mahigit dalawang oras ayon sa pulisya.
Kinilala ng Aleosan Police ang mga nasawing CAFGU na sina Jomar Roben, Jesry Galo, Melvin Cabrera, Moises Galo, at John Rey Cabrera.
Sugatan din sa bakbakan sina Ariel Wacan, Gibel Galo, Harrison Galo, at Dante Boboy.
Sa panig naman ng mga armadong grupo, patay sina Pikal Taya, Taher Odin, at Sammy Ayunan, habang malubhang sugatan ang isang alyas “Tikoy Piang”.
Nagsasagawa na ng follow-up operation ang 602nd Infantry Brigade at 90th Infantry Battalion ng Philippine Army (PA) upang tugisin ang mga armadong grupo.
Base sa inisyal na intelligence gathering ng mga awtoridad, nagku-kuta ang mga armadong grupo sa mga liblib na barangay sa bayan ng Pikit, Cotabato.
