Nasa 13,000 pulis ng National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) ang ikakalat sa Metro Manila para mangalaga ng peace and order ngayong Kapaskuhan.
Ayon kay NCRPO Chief Police Brigadier General Jonnel Estomo, ang mga pulis na ikakalat sa Kamaynilaan ay itatalaga sa mga matataong lugar tulad ng malls, palengke, simbahan, airport at mga bus stations.
Pinatututukan din ni Estomo ang pagsisimula ng Simbang Gabi sa Biyernes hanggang sa matapos ito sa bisperas ng Pasko sa Disyembre 24.
Bukod sa pagbabantay sa mga pangunahing lansangan, magiging quick response din ang mga itinalagang pulis sa lahat ng aktibidad sa mga barangay, local government units at mga ahensya ng pamahalaan.
Bagama’t tahimik at wala namang seryosong banta sa seguridad, sinabi ni Estomo na kailangang nakabantay pa rin ang NCRPO sa mga pampublikong lugar.
Nakahanda rin umano ang mga pulis sa lahat ng pagkakataon dahil naka-alerto ang Pambansang Kapulisan simula Disyembre hanggang sa pagsalubong ng Bagong Taon sa Enero.
