Arestado ang isang “habal-habal” rider sa Iligan City matapos magtangkang ipalaman sa grocery ng isang preso ang 2.5 gramo ng shabu nang bumisita ito sa lock-up cell ng Iligan City Jail kahapon, Dec. 13.
Sa ulat ni Jail Director Col. Dominador Estrada kay Regional Director PBGen. Lawrence Baldan Coop, kinilala ang naarestong suspek na si Jeben Labasano, 30, residente ng Brgy. Del Carmen, Iligan City.
Ayon kay Estrada, isinabay ng suspek ang tangkang pagpuslit ng droga sa isinasagawang “Paabot sa Biyaya” program ng BJMP Iligan.
Nadiskubre ni Jail Officer 1 Angela Quilab ang 49 na pakete ng hinihinalang shabu sa loob ng grocery bag na para sana sa isang preso.
Sa pagtaya ng BJMP, aabot sa P24,500 ang street value ng nakuhang shabu sa suspek.
Agad itong dinala sa Iligan City Police Station at sinampahan ng paglabag sa Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
Iniimbestigahan na rin ng pamunuan ng Iligan City Jail ang presong nakapangalan sa grocery upang matukoy kung mayroon pa itong mga kasabwat sa loob ng kulungan.
