A three-storey police station in Pangasinan has been completed and is ready to house the police operation of the Mangaldan Municipal Police Station (MPS), the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced on Tuesday, Dec. 13.
In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, Director Ronnel M. Tan of DPWH Region 1 said the new MPS facility was built under the Tatag ng Imprastraktura para sa Kapayapaan at Seguridad (TIKAS) Convergence Program of the DPWH and Philippine National Police (PNP).
This is in support of the national government of improving public service delivery at the local level, according to Tan.
The Mangaldan MPS are equipped with office rooms with adequate lighting and ventilation for PNP personnel, as well as CCTV cameras and parking spaces for officers and stakeholders.
Tan said the project was constructed with a total cost of P14.5 million, funded under the 2022 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
“DPWH is one with the PNP in enhancing public service facilities that aims to boost the morale of our uniformed personnel who play an indispensable role in maintaining peace and order in Pangasinan,” Tan added.
