Lumapit sa Pambansang Sumbungan #ipaBITAGmo ang 1st year college student na si May Ann Yubal.
Nag-aaral Si May Ann ng kursong Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management sa Aim High Colleges Incorporated sa Zamboanga Sibugay.
Inirereklamo ni May Ann ang pamamahiya na kanyang natanggap sa loob mismo ng eskwelahan.
“Nagpasama yung kaklase ko na kumuha ng enrollment form, nakasuot lang po ako ng simple white T-shirt at naka jogger po na marron, pinapasok po kami ng guard” kwento ni May Ann.
“Napansin po ako ng guro, ang sabi niya, bakit daw ganyan yung suot ko, hindi man lang daw ako mahiyang pumasok sa eskwelahan, dugyot daw po ako at mukhang chimay daw po ako, sir” dagdag pa ni May Ann sa BITAG.
Ang mga paninita at panlalait, sinabi umano ng propesor sa harap ng ibang teacher at mga estudyante.
“Mahirap lang po kami sir, kaya nga po kami nag-aaral sir para makatulong kay Mama at Papa.”
Hindi nagustuhan ng host na si Mr. Ben Tulfo ang pinagsasabi ng propesor base sa sumbong ni May Ann. Matatawag daw na itong diskriminasyon sa estudyante.
“Ayaw na ayaw ko yung salitang ’chimay” mariing pahayag ni Tulfo.
