Kinuwestiyon ni Governor Manuel Mamba ang desisyon ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) na pinadi-disqualify ang kandidatura nito noong May 9 elections dahil sa paglabag sa Omnibus Election Code.
Sa kanyang pahayag sa Facebook page ng Cagayan Provincial Government, bigo aniya ang Comelec Second Division napatunayan na lumabag namili siya ng boto noong halalan, tulad ng alegasyon sa kanyang nakatunggali na si Ma. Zarah Rose De Guzman Lara.
Tinawag pa ni Mamba na “premature” ang disqualification order ng Comelec dahil dinidinig ang kanyang kasong vote buying.
Pinanindigan din ni Mamba na may nakuha siyang “Exception” sa Comelec en banc para pondohan ang mga “continuing programs” ng Provincial Government kahit pasok na ito sa Election Period.
“An injustice to the Cagayano voters. I did not buy a single vote to win. I have an exception from the Comelec for the funds spent during the election ban,” ani Mamba.
