Mismong ang First Family sa pangunguna nina Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. at Unang Ginang Liza Araneta Marcos ang personal na nag-abot ng ‘Pamaskong Handog’ ngayong Biyernes, Dec. 23, sa mahigit 500 katutubo at mga batang lansangan sa Davao City.
Katuwang ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region XI, nasa 360 na street children, 100 street adults at 58 mula sa Badjao community ang tinipon sa Almendras Gym sa Davao City upang bigyan ng ayuda.
Tumanggap ng educational assistance ang 360 street children, habang financial assistance naman ang pinagkaloob sa 100 street adults, at cash for work program ang assistance package para sa Badjao Community.
Ayon sa Regional Child and Youth Focal ng DSWD XI, mismong ang Pangulo ang pumili sa mga benepisyaryo para tumanggap ng assistance package mula sa gobyerno.
Kinonsulta rin umano ng Malakanyang ang mga street educators at street facilitator ng DSWD XI upang malaman kung ano ang nararapat na tulong para sa mga street kids at indigenous people (IP) ng Davao City.
Ang ‘Pamaskong Handog’ ng Unang Pamilya ay isang programa ng Marcos administration para tulungan at bigyang-prayoridad ang livelihood at financial assistance sa mga Indigenous Peoples at mga street children.
Layon din ng Pangulo na masolusyonan ang matagal nang problema sa mga batang lansangan at mga katutubong walang permanenteng tahanan.
