Base sa Daily Weather Forecast ng Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), magiging maulan pa rin ang malaking bahagi ng Mindanao at Visayas dahil sa umiiral na sama ng panahon o low pressure area (LPA).
As of 4:00 pm (Dec. 28), huling namataan ang LPA sa layong 210 kilometro Silangan ng Surigao City sa Surigao Del Norte.
Magdadala ito ng masungit na panahon sa Palawan, Bicol Region, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, CARAGA Region.
Ayon sa weather bureau, nakataas sa mga lugar na ito ang posibilidad ng flashflood o pagbaha at pagguho ng lupa dahil sa mahina hanggang sa malalakas na pag-ulan.
Ang nalalabing bahagi naman ng Mindanao ay makakaranas ng kalat-kalat hanggang sa malalakas na pag-ulan dahil sa lawiswis ng LPA at Localized Thunderstorms.
Samantala, ang bahagi ng Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Aurora at Quezon ay makararanas din mga pag-ambon at pag-ulan dahil sa Northeast Monsoon o hanging amihan.
Ang Metro Manila naman at ang nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon, bahagyang sisikat ang haring araw pero asahan pa rin ang minsanang pag-ambon at maulap na papawirin.
