Halos kalahating porsyento ang itinaas ng bilang ng biktima ng paputok sa pagsalubong ng 2023 kumpara sa naitalang fireworks-related injuries (FWRI) noong nakaraang taon.
Sa pinakahuling surveillance report ng Department of Health (DOH), pumalo na sa 277 FWRI ang naitala simula Dec. 21, 2022 hanggang Enero 4, 2023.
Ayon sa DOH, 276 ang fireworks related cases at isa ang biktima ng stray bullet o ligaw na bala mula sa Maynila.
Ayon sa DOH, pinakamarami sa FWRI ay sanhi ng pagpapaputok ng kwitis, boga, 5-star at fountain o pailaw
