Ipinatawag ng pamunuan ng Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) ang dalawang player ng guest team ng PBA Commissioner’s Cup na Bay Area Dragons matapos silang umangal na “cooked” o “niluto” ang laban nila sa Ginebra Gin Kings noong gabi ng January 4.
Nasungkit ng Ginebra ang came from behind victory sa Game 3 ng best-of-seven series ng Commissioner’s Cup laban sa powerhouse team na Bay area Dragons sa iskor na 89-82.
Nakaungos na ang Ginebra sa kartadang 2-1 lead sa serye.
Halata ang pagkadismaya ng ilang players at coaching staff ng guest team na anila ay hindi patas na officiating o tawag ng mga referees pabor sa Ginebra.
Pinadalhan ng imbitasyon ng PBA sina Hayden Blankley at Myles Powell.
Ayon kay PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial, kailangang magpaliwanag ang dalawang guest player hinggil sa kanilang komento na ‘niluto’ ang laro.
Sa isang Instagram story, inilabas ni Blankley ang kanyang pagkadismaya sa huling laro.
“Got nothing but love for the [Philippines] and its people, but at this point, it’s obvious, just let it be a fair game, please,” wika ni Blankley sa kanyang IG post na kaagad din niyang binura.
“As the locals would say –it’s cooked,” dagdag pa nito.
Samantala, inilabas naman ni Powell ang kanyang hinaing ukol sa 38 free throws na ipinagkaloob ng mga referees sa Ginebra kumpara sa 10 free throws lamang ng Bay Area Dragons.
“Y’all saying we shot 21 free throws in game 2 & y’all only shot 5 proves exactly my point,” ani Powell sa kanyang tweet.
“Something ain’t right clearly the refs making the difference between who wins or not when it should just be a fair called game,” dagdag nito.
