Tuloy-tuloy ang pagpapauwi ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) sa mga badjao at iba pang katutubo na dumagsa sa Kamaynilaan para mamalimos sa lansangan noong Kapaskuhan.
Ayon sa ulat ng PCG, nasa humigit-kumulang 200 indigenous peoples (IPs) ang pinakahuling batch na naibalik nila sa probinsya noong Huwebes, Enero 5.
Katuwang ng PCG ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sa pagpapauwi sa mga IPs sa Jolo, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi at iba pang lugar sa Mindanao.
Sa ilalim ng programa ng DSWD, bibigyan ng one-time cash assistance ang mga IPs upang may magamit sila sa negosyo o kabuhayan sa pagbabalik ng probinsya.
Bumalangkas din ang kagawaran ng programa para turuan ang mga katutubo na magnegosyo sa kani-kanilang probinsya upang hindi na mawili sa pamamalimos sa mga kanayunan.
Hihigpitan naman ng PCG ang pagbabantay sa mga pantalan upang masigurong hindi na makakabalik ng Maynila ang mga na-profile na nilang badjao at iba pang katutubo.
