Ibinasura ng Taguig City regional trial court (RTC) ang mosyon ng modelong si Deniece Cornejo laban sa paglaya ng actor-comedian na si Ferdinand “Vhong” Navarro.
Ayon sa online news portal na www.mb.com.ph, ang desisyon ng Taguig RTC ay inilabas ngayong Huwebes, Jan. 12, ni Judge Loralie Cruz Datahan.
Hiniling ni Cornejo sa Taguig RTC na bawiin ang inilabas na bail order pabor kay Navarro para maibalik sa kulungan ang aktor habang nililitis ang kaso nitong rape.
Sa desisyon ni Datahan, sinabi nito na “for lack of merit” ang hirit ni Cornejo sa korte na bawiin ang P1 million bail na inilabas para sa pansamantalang paglaya ni Navarro.
Hindi rin pinagbigyan ng korte ang hiling ng kampo ni Cornejo na mag-inhibit si Judge Datahan sa kasong isinampa laban sa aktor.
Matatandaang si Datahan ang naglabas ng desisyon noong Dec. 5, 2022 para payagang mag-lagak si Navarro ng P1 milyong piyansa.
“Time and again, the Supreme Court (SC) has emphasized that criminal actions shall be prosecuted under the direction and control of the prosecutor,” ayon sa desisyon ni Datahan.
