Dahil lamang sa paninita sa oras ng curfew, patay ang isang jeepney driver matapos pagbabarilin ng dalawang lalaking sinita niya sa Trece Martires City, Cavite.
Ayon sa ulat ng Trece Martires City Police Station, bandang alas-11:15 ng gabi ng Enero 12, 2023 pinaalalahanan ng biktima na kinilalang si Mel Aubray Mijares ang dalawang lalaking sakay ng motor hinggil sa umiiral na curfew hours sa lugar.
Dito nagkaroon ng mainitang pagtatalo at nang walang malinaw na dahilan binaril ng mga suspek si Mijares ng tatlong (3) beses sa dibdib at mabilis na tumakas.
Naisugod pa si Mijares sa General Emilio Aguinaldo Hospital, Barangay Luciano, Trece Martires City ngunit idineklara itong dead on arrival.
Agad namang nasakote ng mga operatiba ang dalawang suspek sa harap ng Brgy.Hall ng Brgy. Cabuco na sina Roland Magpuri Marquez, 44 yrs old, Civil Security Unit Officer at Ariel Jaropojop Layam, 44 yrs old, Civil Security Unit Officer kapwa residente ng Brgy. Conchu, Trece Martires City.
Narekober sa kanila ang isang (1) Armscor Caliber 9mm, 2 pirasong 9mm magazine na kargado ng 13 live ammunition, isang (1) caliber .38 na kargado ng 5 live ammunition, balisong, maliit na kutsilyo at fired cartridge case at isang motorsiklo na ginamit bilang getaway vehicle.
Nasa kustodiya ngayon ng Trece Martires City Police Station ang dalawang suspek na nahaharap sa kasong Murder.
