Humakot ng walong gintong medalya ang Philippine National Fencing team sa ginanap na 2023 South East Asian Fencing Federation Championships sa Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Sinelyuhan ng Pilipinas ang tournament sa ikalawang pwesto (2nd place) kung saan nag uwi ang bansa ng kabuuang 26 medalya kabilang ang 7 silver, at 11 bronze medals.
Kahapon, kinilala ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) ang mga sumusunod na gold medalists:
-Andre Agatep (men’s junior individual saber)
-Arianna Tiu, Kaukaku Dela Serna, Maegan Co Say, Maiev Tyra de Boy (women’s junior team sabre)
-Janna Catantan, Martina Bacay, Hannah Belarmino, Miyake Capina (women’s junior team foil)
-Alexa Larrazabal, Ashley Harrison, Ivana Salvador, Martina Baccay (women’s junior team epee)
-Andre Agatep, Enrico Suplico, Ram Jimenez, Tomas Robert Cabrera (men’s junior team sabre)
Samantala, nauna nang naguwi ng gintong medalya kamakailan ang mga Pinoy fencers na sina Noelito Jose Jr. ng men’s senior individual epee at Wilhemina Lozada ng women’s senior individual foil category.
