Mula sa pitong teams noong nakaraang taon, magiging 11 na koponan ang magbabakbakan para sa inaasam asam na kampyonato.
Ang mga volleyball teams na AMC Volleyball, City of Imus, D’ Navigators Iloilo at Vanguard Volleyball ay ang mga karagdagang squad sa liga na susubukan agawin ang korona sa reigning champion na National University (NU).
“It’s really a blessing that we’re getting more teams interested in joining here. We’re growing and this is a good sign. It just shows everybody that there really is interest not only in women’s volley but also in the men’s side,” Ani Sports Vision President Ricky Palou sa isang forum ng Sportswriter Association sa Rizal Memorial Stadium kahapon.
Unang magsasalpukan ang City of Imus at City of Sta. Rosa sa opening game ng torneyo sa ganap na 4 pm. Susundan ito ng tapatan sa pagitan ng koponan ng Navy at Army (6pm)
