Tatlong aktibong pulis ang naaresto ng kapwa nila pulis sa isinagawang anti-illegal drug operation sa Rizal Avenue, Sta. Cruz Manila.
Sa ulat na ibinigay ng National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), naaresto sa buy bust operation ng Regional Intelligence Division-Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RID-RDEU) ang suspek na si PSSg Ed Dyson Banaag, 34 years old at nakatalaga sa Police Drug Enforcement Group sa Camp Crame.
Habang ang dalawang naka-sibilyan pulis na sina PSSg Raymund Portes at PSSg Jerry Saratobias Jr. na kapwa nakatalaga sa Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) naaresto matapos makialam sa isinasagawang inventory at imbestigasyon ng ng operatiba ng RDEU.
Ayon pa ulat, dati umanong magkakasama ang tatlo sa CIDG Camp Crame.
Nakumpiska kay Banaag ang humigit kumulang 25 gramo ng pinaniniwalaang shabu na aabot sa halagang P170,000. Agad itong dinala sa Manila Police District Crime Laboratory.
Nahaharap sa kasong paglabag sa Republic Act (RA) 9165, Section 5 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) si Banaag.
