Handa na ang Manila Police District (MPD) na magpatupad ng 24 oras na seguridad sa selebrasyon ng Chinese New Year na magsisimula sa January 21 hanggang January 22.
Ayon kay District Director Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon, aabot sa 3,200 police personnel ang kanilang idineploy upang bantayan ang mga aktibidad sa Binondo, Manila na itinuturing na oldest Chinatown sa mundo.
Nag-abiso din ang MPD Traffic na isasara nila mamayang madaling araw (12:01am) ang Binondo-Intramuros Bridge.
Samantala, isasara naman ng alas-7:00 ng gabi bukas (January 21) ang southbound ng Jones Bridge at alas-alas-10 ng gabi ang northbound.
Pinapaalahanan din ang publiko na sumunod sa health protocols gaya ng pagsuot ng face mask at magmatyag sa mga kahina hinalang individual, at agad na isumbong ito sa mga kapulisan.
