Nagtutulungan ngayon ang Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) at Department of Justice (DOJ) sa pagpapauwi ng mga pinoy na biktima ng human trafficking sa Cambodia.
Ito’y matapos mabunyag sa senado ang human trafficking operation ng Chinese mafia na bumibiktima sa mga Pilipino upang gawing cryptocurrency scammer sa nasabing bansa.
Sinabi ng DFA na inihahanda na nila ang repatriation o pagpapabalik sa bansa ng mga Pilipinong nabiktima ng sindikato at kasalukuyang nasa Cambodia.
Pinapayuhan din ng ahensiya ang publiko na sundin ang regular deployment procedures ng Department of Migrant Workers (DWM) at Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA) bago umalis at magtrabaho sa ibang bansa.
Samantala, iniimbestigahan na din ng DOJ ang nasabing human trafficking operation kung saan sangkot umano ang dalawang tauhan ng Bureau of Immigration (BI).
Ang dalawang tauhan ay sinibak ng BI matapos ang isang intel na sila ang nasa likod ng pagpapalusot sa airport ng mga pasahero pa-Cambodia na kalaunan ay naging biktima ng human trafficking.
Nabulgar ang operasyong ito matapos lumapit sa sa tanggapan ni Sen. Ria Hontiveros ang ang isang biktima na nakauwi ng bansa upang tulungan ang mga kapwa Pilipinong naiwan sa Cambodia at pinagmamalupitan ng mga miyembro ng sindikato.
