Kampante ang long-time coach ni Conor McGregor na si John Kavanagh na muling aapak sa loob ng octagon ang Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) superstar ngayong taon.
Sa isang panayam ng The MMA Hour, inihayag ni Kavanagh na mataas ang kanyang kumpyansa sa posibilidad na sasabak uli sa mixed martial arts (MMA) si McGregor matapos ang mahigit isang taong pahinga.
“I’d be willing to bet my house on it,” wika ni Kavanagh. “I was actually just chatting with him yesterday or the day before and then [his manager] Audie [Attar] was in town.
Hindi na nagbigay pa ng ibang detalye si Kavanagh subalit nagpahiwatig ito na niluluto na ng kanilang panig ang ilang negosasyon sa muling pagbabalik ng 34-anyos na Irish fighter.
“Yeah, I think there’s some interesting negotiations going along now. I absolutely can’t say anything beyond that, but I’m very, very confident that we’ll see Conor back in the octagon this year,” pahayag ni Kavanagh.
Hulyo taong 2021 nang huli sumabak sa aksyon si McGregor sa UFC 264 Kung saan natalo siya kanilang trilogy fight kontra Dustin Poirer matapos mabali ang kanyang binti.
Si McGregor ay may professional record na 22 wins at 6 loss sa MMA.
