Si Moloney ang kasalukuyang nangunguna sa rankings ng 118 lbs division ng WBC na may kartadang 25 wins, 2 losses at 19 knockouts. Pumapangalawa naman sa kanya si Donaire na may record na 42-7, 28 KOs.
Matatandaang sinuko kamakailan ni Japanese boxing superstar Naoya Inoue ang kanyang WBC title upang umaakyat sa 122 lbs super bantamweight division.
