Dumating na bansa kagabi ang mga labi ni Jullebee Ranara, ang OFW na pinaslang at sinunog ng 17 years old na anak ng kanyang employer sa Kuwait .
Sinalubong ito ng mga kawani ng Department of Migrant Workers, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration at ni Senator Raffy Tulfo, chairperson ng Senate Committee on Migrant workers.
Sa harap ng media, sinabi ni Sen. Tulfo, nais nilang magpatupad muna ng total deployment ban bago magkaroon ng bilateral talks sa gobyerno ng Kuwait.
Nais din n g Senador na magkaroon ng mga kondisyones gaya ng screening sa mga employer hindi lang sa Kuwait maging sa mga high-risk countries.
“Dapat magpakita sila ng patunay na malinis ang kanilang record, ang gusto ko i-suggest sa lahat ng employer that they have to submit the document na pumasa sila neuro psychiatric exam, not only that, pati yung kanilang member ng household, kasi dito kay Jullebee, in fairness naman sa amo (mag-asawa) mabait naman daw, yung luko-luko yung 17 years old na anak.” pahayag ni Sen. Tulfo.
Ayon kay Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Susan Ople, sasailalim ang mga labi ni Jullebee sa autopsy ng National Bureau of Investigation – base na rin sa hiling ng pamilya ng biktima.
