Nasa kustodiya na ng Philippine Army (PA) si P/Brig. Gen. Jesus Durante at isang Army Colonel na tinukoy na mastermind sa pagpatay sa negosyante at modelo sa Davao City noong Disyembre 29, 2022.
Si Durante at Col. Michael Licyayo ay kapwa nahaharap sa kasong murder at obstruction of justice sa pagkamatay ng biktima na si Yvonnette “Yvonne” Chua Plaza, 38-anyos.
Ayon kay PA Chief Lt. Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr., isasalang sila sa Court Martial proceedings at walang special treatment na ibibigay sa dating Presidential Security Group (PSG) chief at sa pito pang army officers na sangkot.
Samantala sa isang pahayag ni Maj. Eudisan Gultiano, spokesperson ng Philippine National Police – Police Regional Office 11, wala pang inilalabas ng anumang warrant sa mga suspek.
“It may take a while for the warrants as it will take the prosecution a maximum 15 days to conduct the preliminary investigation,” ani Gultiano.
