Ito ang paglilinaw ni Senator Raffy Tulfo sa burol ng OFW na pinatay sa Kuwait ukol sa kumakalat na tsismis na na-areglo na ang pamilya ng pinatay na OFW.
Pakiusap ni Tulfo sa mga netizen, “Itigil ang pagpapakalat ng tsismis tungkol sa blood money na sila ay susuhulan because there is no truth it. ‘Wag na po ikalat dahil masakit ‘to para sa kanila.”
“Dugo sa dugo. Ibig sabihin hustisya, buhay kapalit ng buhay. So kung ang parusa ay bitay, bitay. So be it. Hindi sila makikipag-areglo,” ani ni Senator Tulfo.
Iisa lang ang boses ng pamilya ng namatay na si Jullebee Ranara, hustisya.
“Nagkaisa boses nilang lahat—yung father, mother, at mister—na they will not accept blood money,” paliwanag ni Tulfo.
Matatandaan na noong nakaraang Linggo, January 20 natagpuan ang bangkay ni Jullebee Ranara sa disyerto, isang domestic helper sa disyerto. Sa inisiyal na imbestigasyon, hinalay muna bago pinatay at sinunog ang biktima. Ang suspek, ang 17 years old na anak mismo ng amo ni Ranara.
Nanawagan si Tulfo na magkaroon ng total deployment ban sa Kuwait, hindi sumangayon dito si Secretary Susan “Toots” Vasquez Ople ng Department of Migrant Worker (DMW).
Ang gusto ni Secretary Ople, “diplomatic negotiation” o “social dialogue”.
May sagot agad dito si Senator Tulfo, kung seryoso ang bansang Kuwait humingi ng muna sila ng public apology sa bansang Pinas bago mai-lift ang total deployment ban.
