Patay ang mag-asawa matapos silang sagasaan ng rumaragasang truck noong Enero 31. Nag-overshoot ang truck sa pakurbadang daan ng national highway sa Brgy. Bone South, Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya.
Dead on the spot ang mga biktima na kinilalang sina Frederick Del Mundo at Gina Del Mundo, habang lubha naman sugatan si Reginald Macaslam, residente ng Brgy. Bone South ng nasabing bayan.
Sugatan din ang driver ng trailer truck na si Jojo Odones, 47-anyos ng Brgy. Caloocan, Cabatuan, Isabela.
Ayon sa ulat ng Aritao Police Station, dakong 11:30 ng umaga, habang nagmemeryenda ang mag-asawa sa harap ng tindahan, nang araruhin sila ng truck na may dalang sako-sakong abono.
Nawalan umano ng kontrol ang driver na si Odones sa palikong bahagi ng highway hanggang ito ay bumangga at tumagilid sa kinaroroonan ng mga biktima.
Nasira nito ang bahagi ng isang bahay at tindahan, gayundin ang mga nakaparadang pickup at tricycle.
Ayon pa sa pulisya, inamin umano ng driver ng truck na mayroon siyang hang-over. Nakita rin sa sasakyan ang ilang bote ng alak.
Mahaharap sa kasong reckless imprudence resulting in double homicide, serious physical injury and damage to property ang driver.
