Hulog sa kamay ng mga awtoridad ang itinuturong mastermind sa pamamaril at tangkang pagpatay sa babaeng staff ng Office of the Ombudsman sa Quezon City noong Miyerkules ng nakaraang linggo.
Inaresto kahapon ng mga awtoridad si Dexter Alambat Cruz, empleyado rin ng Ombudsman ang umano’y dating boyfriend ng biktima sa kanyang bahay sa Block 14, Lot 7, Central Ave., Brgy. Culiat, Quezon City, Quezon City bandang alas-7:50 ng gabi nitong Lunes.
Ayon kay Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director, PBGen. Nicolas D. Torre III, naaresto nila ang gunman na si Marlon Ayup Nery, 47, limang araw matapos ang ginawang krimen.
Ikinanta niya na binayaran siya ni Cruz ng P30,000 para patayin ang dating girlfriend na si Diane Jane Pagurigan, 37, Admin Aide VI ng Office of the Ombudsman noong Pebrero 1, alas-8:20 ng umaga sa tapat ng RCBC Bank sa Quezon Avenue.
Sa salaysay ni Nery, hindi daw matanggap ni Cruz ang pakikipaghiwalay sa kanya ng biktima, dahilan upang ipapatay niya ito.
Nasamsam naman mula sa tahanan ng mastermind ang iba’t ibang uri ng mga baril, bala at Granada at nasa kustodiya ng QCPD-CIDU for investigation
Kasalukuyan pa nagpapagaling ang biktima na si Pagurigan sa East Avenue Medical Center sa tinamong dalawang tama ng bala sa dibdib.
